More LoopRez building

Here's a second attempt at using LoopRez to build... I'm not sure I like this one as much as the first, but I wanted something smaller and which could be chained together easily (as shown here).

I note that a Deluxe version of LoopRez looks to be available (or nearly available?). Interesting. Definitely looks worth having... see the tutorial for details.

Just a warning: for your purposes, LoopRez Deluxe would be completely useless. It only handles single prim objects, because the objects now need to contain scripts / be linked and unlinked.

For automatic building, I've wondered whether an open source script that Seifert Surface wrote called Path Maker might be useful. If you have access to the SL forums: http://forums.secondlife.com/showthread.php?t=92623

It basically takes two rectangles that are in a plane, and then extend them until they touch smoothly.

That, combined with Seifert's triangle rezzer (takes 3 points, and rezzes a triangle defined by those 3 points; I used it for my geodesic sphere rezzer), and I think it'd be possible to automate some really complex builds.

I dunno -- just some thoughts.

Ged, (sorry, delayed response... I don't read my comments often enough).

Thanks for the tips and pointers. Very interesting. I'll look into this.
